On November 26th, the 2023 International Conference on the Cooperation and Integration of Industry, Education, Research and Application ( Shanxi venue, Beijing )— Multidisciplinary Integration Innovation and Development of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging was held in our school 's Yingze campus. This conference is supported by the Ministry of Education and the People 's Government of Shanxi Province, sponsored by the School Planning and Construction Development Center of the Ministry of Education, and hosted by the Education Department of Shanxi Province and our school. The conference is held in a combination of online and offline. More than 200 experts and scholars from the United States, Britain, Russia, Ireland, New Zealand and other countries, as well as Hong Kong and the Mainland of China participated in the meeting. Prof. Xie Jun, the President of our school, delivered the opening speech of the conference. Prof. Li Sijin, the director of the Collaborative Innovation Center for Molecular Imaging, delivered the welcome speech. Prof. Liu Chun, the Vice President of our school, presided over the opening ceremony.
Prof. Xie Jun pointed out that the core of the conference is to build an international platform of Industry, Education, Research and Application, gather world-class talent resources, and promote high-level international cooperation. In recent years, the school has actively integrated into the Healthy China Strategy and the Belt and Road Initiative, and has actively explored and practiced in promoting scientific and technological innovation, joint training of talents and transformation of scientific and technological achievements, and achieved fruitful results. He hopes to work with friends from all walks of life at home and abroad to build a high-level scientific and technological innovation platform, build a highland of innovative talents, promote the transfer and transformation of high-quality scientific and technological achievements, gather the world 's talents for collaborative innovation, achieve mutual benefit between China and foreign countries, and make greater contributions to building a global community of health for all.
In his speech, Li Sijin shared the research and development process and experience of the world 's first nuclear magnetic photoelectric five-mode integrated brain imaging device, emphasizing that the deep integration of government, industry, university and research is the driving force to realize scientific and technological innovation and promote the transformation of achievements.
The conference also invited welcome speeches from Prof. Odysseas-Ioannis Zoras, Secretary-General of Higher Education of the Hellenic Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports, Academician Igor Esaulenko, President of the State Medical University of Voronezh, Russian Federation, Prof. Minoru Tsuzuki, President of the Nihon Pharmaceutical University, and Academician David Cardwell, Vice-President of the University of Cambridge.
Prof. Cao Feng from Chinese PLA General Hospital, Prof. Li Jianguo from China Institute for Radiation Protection, Prof. Ding Hong from Editorial Department of Chinese Journal of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging, Prof. Tang Shuang from Fudan University Shanghai Cancer Center and six scholars from University College Dublin, Southern Illinois University School of Medicine, University of Auckland, Brown University School of Medicine, University of Nevada and Nvidia AI Computing Company were invited to present keynote reports and discuss new opportunities for in-depth industry-university-research cooperation.
The Conference was established by the Ministry of Education in 2018 to further promote the high-quality development of education opening up and the construction of an international industry-university-research-use cooperation system. In 2022, our school held the first conference, and successfully approved the joint training of graduate students by Chinese and foreign double tutors of the Ministry of Education, and successfully opened a new mechanism for it.
