On May 28th and 29th,Sanjin Forensic Medicine Summit Forum was held in Zhongdu Campusof Shanxi Medical University.Jiao Xiangying, the member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of Shanxi Medical University, attended and delivered a welcome speech.Yu Zhongshan,the Secretary-General of Chinese Forensic Medicine, also addressed the meeting. The participants were experts and scholars from universities, public security systems and forensic medicine fields all over the country, as well as teachers and students of Forensic Medicine in our school, with a total of more than 200 people.
The opening ceremony for Forensic Anthropology Studio and Domestic Scientific Instrument Cooperation Laboratory was also held at this forum.Jiao Xiangying, andthe leaders and expertsfrom School of Forensic Medicine participated in the ceremony.In addition,Zhang Jizong, Professor of People's Public Security University of China, and Gao Wei, the head of the laboratory and Vice President of Hexing Company, delivered speeches respectively.
On May 28th, a total of 20 scholars from all over the country and forensic experts from our university gave the reportsat the conference, including Shen Min,Research Fellow of Academy of Forensic Science, Xie Jianwei, Chief Researcher of Academy of Military Sciences, Professor Chen Teng of Xi’an Jiaotong University, Professor Liao Linchuan of Sichuan University, Professor Zhang Guohua of China Medical University and other specialists. Focusing on the theme of“Forensic Toxicology”,the experts gave lectures on the research of toxicant mechanism, the prospect of forensic toxicology research, and the practice and thinking of specific forensic identification problems. The experts and scholars at the conference had a scientific discussion on the frontier development of forensic toxicology, which provided valuable suggestions for the innovation and development of forensic medicine.
On May 29th, 26 young scholars from the Ministry of Public Security of the People’s Republic of China, Xi 'an Jiaotong University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology and Forensic Medicine of our university gave reportson“Forensic Toxicology”. They made wonderful reports and on-site exchanges on the frontier scientific research of forensic toxicology, such as the latest detection technology, instrument application, mechanism research of specific toxicants, detection application, etc., which provided valuable scientific research ideas and experience for young teachers and postgraduates of forensic medicine
This conference reflects the development trend and research results of forensic toxicology in China. Teachers and students attending the meeting said that they gained a lot from the conference. This conference has played a positive guiding role in the development of forensic medicine in our school, and provided a scientific and innovative forensic medicine feast for teachers and students in our school.
