Recently, the General Office of Shanxi Provincial Government issued the implementation opinions on speeding up the innovative Development of Medical Education (hereinafter referred to as "opinions"). This paper puts forward 14 reform measures in the following four aspects: comprehensively optimizing the training structure of medical talents, perfecting the construction of medical education system, perfecting the operation mechanism of medical education, and making every effort to improve the quality of medical personnel training. It is clear that in the next five years, we will focus on strengthening the construction of Shanxi Medical University and strive to achieve a comprehensive strength among the top 150 colleges and universities and the top 20 medical colleges and universities.
It is suggested that we should focus on supporting the construction of clinical medicine, special medicine and other disciplines in Shanxi Medical University, promote the cross-integration of medical engineering, medical science, and medical literature, and add about two new doctorate authorization points. At the same time, the enrollment scale of medical postgraduates in Shanxi Province is increasing year by year, reaching 3500 by 2025, including 200doctoral students. In addition, Shanxi will add more than 10 new scientific and technological innovation platforms at and above the provincial and ministerial level, undertake more than 10 major national scientific research projects, realize more than 30 important patents and technology transfer, and strive to win national and provincial science and technology awards for about 5 achievements.
In order to optimize the training structure of medical talents, it is suggested that the professional education of clinical medicine and traditional Chinese medicine should be developed steadily, and the enrollment of medical undergraduates should be included in the "first batch" step by step. The new enrollment plan focuses on the shortage of medical fields such as anesthesia, paediatrics, severe diseases, gynaecology and obstetrics, and appropriately reduces the enrollment plans of medical colleges and universities with excessive enrollment scale.
At the same time, it is clearly suggested to increase the support for clinical medicine, traditional Chinese medicine and other related disciplines and platforms, and to support Shanxi Medical University in the construction of doctorate authorization points for stomatology majors. encourage the establishment of medical technology and other cross-disciplines and new medical majors.
Shanxi will continue to improve the construction of the medical education system, support Shanxi Medical University and other universities to set up general practice teaching organizations, concentrate superior resources to build 2-3 demonstration bases for general practice teaching, and strengthen the training of general practice teachers. The opinion is clear, led by the School of Public Health of Shanxi Medical University, in conjunction with other medical universities in Shanxi Province, to build a consortium for training public health personnel; and to jointly build a public health clinical center in conjunction with other medical universities in Shanxi Province, provincial centers for disease prevention and control, provincial hospitals for infectious diseases, and other institutions.
In addition, the opinions will also promote the ideological and political construction of the curriculum and explore the construction of a "trinity" medical ethics education curriculum system of ideological and political theory courses, comprehensive literacy courses and professional education courses. Opinions support Shanxi Medical University to build a medical ethics education research demonstration center and launch 3-5 medical ethics education demonstration courses. Shanxi will also deeply implement the "excellent Doctor Education and training Program 2.0" to promote the construction of first-class specialties, and strive to reach 50 national or provincial first-class medicine and traditional Chinese medicine undergraduate specialty construction sites in Shanxi. Promote the classroom revolution on the basis of the "Promotion course Alliance", build a platform for medical education and teaching resources, and strive to reach 100 national or provincial medical first-class courses in Shanxi Province.
